Carlow Golf Club is a course that has the richly deserved reputation of being one of the finest parkland courses in Ireland. It is the unique, natural landscape that remains dry all year round that makes Carlow an ideal club for visiting golfers and its an excellent club to join as a member.

A warm welcome awaits our visitors who can enjoy our championship 18-hole Deerpark Course or can opt for a more relaxing game on our newer nine-hole Oakpark Course.

The most pleasant and picturesque hole is the 8th where the tee shot is played to the West into the setting sun from the highest point on the course down to a sloping fairway below. To left and right of the drive are located two stone faced raths, overgrown with adult beech. Many tee shots have been lost here and some say they are taken by the little people from the raths or fairy rings.
